Experience the excitement & adventure of offshore sailing
As part of the worldwide Scouting movement, we share and aim to supplement the objectives
of The Scout Association.
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
Here at Adventures Offshore, we achieve these objectives by providing young people with the opportunity to participate in what we believe to be a uniquely adventurous and exciting activity in a challenging environment. As an organisation, we aim:
Why sail training?
We believe that offshore sailing provides the perfect environment for young people
to "learn by doing" and the development of personal confidence, team working and
other important life-
In 2007 the University of Edinburgh undertook a study into “The Characteristics and Value of the Sail Training Experience”, which makes for interesting reading and highlights the benefits to participants of a sail training voyage.
