As a voluntary organisation, Adventures Offshore relies on it's pool of volunteers to keep things running smoothly. The trustees are volunteers; as are the afterguard that run the sailing trips and maintain the boats over the winter.

We are always on the lookout for suitable new members of our team. As with any voluntary work, it requires a certain level of commitment. In our case, we expect afterguard members to sail with us for at least 3 weekends per year, in addition to attending 3 winter refit weekends and a training weekend.

We also run a successful trainee mate scheme for those that have shown an interest in sailing with Adventures Offshore but are as yet unqualified. More details can be found on the training pages.

All afterguard receive substantial discounts on cruise fees and, once qualified, you can sail for free. You can expect sailing with Adventures Offshore to be challenging, rewarding and sociable.

So if you enjoy working with young people, fancy a challenge and can make the commitment, please contact us for more information on joining our team of afterguard.
